Facts: Our client MS, hired firm to assist him in reporting his misdemeanor conviction of Driving while Intoxicated (“DWI”) and responding to any corresponding investigation stemming from the conviction.
Outcome: After review of the facts and criminal record, BERTOLINO LLP, submitted a self-report of the DWI. Within the report, the firm provided argument in defense of MS’s continued fitness to practice. The firm provided character evidence proving that this was an isolated incident, and that MS did not have a substance/ alcohol abuse disorder.
After BON’s review of the report and corresponding internal investigation, BON determined that the matter did not warrant further investigation or disciplinary action. BON closed the matter without taking any private or public action.
