Kim Watson is an experienced attorney and former executive at the Texas Workforce Commission with more than fifteen years of practice handling complex employment, regulatory, and administrative law matters involving investigations, hearings, appeals, and enforcement actions. Her work with one of the state’s largest workforce and regulatory agencies has given her deep familiarity with agency procedures, compliance expectations, adjudicatory processes, and regulatory decision-making.
Kim provides client-focused counsel on matters involving regulatory disputes, administrative proceedings, professional discipline, compliance concerns, and agency investigations. She brings extensive experience interpreting statutes, regulations, and agency rules, as well as advising on contested matters, enforcement issues, and administrative processes affecting professionals and businesses across Texas.
Before entering private practice, Kim served in senior legal and executive roles at the Texas Workforce Commission, including Deputy Director of the Business Operations Division and Chief of Staff to the Chairman, where she worked extensively with government officials, legislators, and stakeholders on complex regulatory and administrative matters.
Kim earned her J.D. cum laude from the University of Mississippi, where she served as Articles Editor of the Mississippi Law Journal, and is licensed to practice law in Texas. She also holds an Executive MBA with honors from the University of Texas at Austin.
